Pictures

Sometimes it's the photographer who makes a place wonderful. Sometimes, it's a wonderful place to be spoiled by a bad picture. In this case, a wonderful place has become... well, I leave it to your judgment.

The place is Portonovo, just few miles from my house, the mandatory stop of every tour with me (those of you who experienced it may leave a comment about either the place and the tour).

(I don't put the pictures on this page because they are protected by copyright).

It's a club I'd like to introduce you...

...its name is Ubiqua, which means "everywhere", from the Latin, our ancient language, together with Greek (remind that Ancona was founded by the Dorian Greeks, portrait of Dorian Greek... ok, stop with the wine!).

Ubiqua is a cultural club (not a culture club, at least I suppose... my God what a stupid post...), based in Ancona. It sounds very interesting, especially for those of you who are considering to move in Le Marche, not faraway from Ancona.

Hope this helps both you and Ubiqua. I'm sure it will, you bet it!

A tribute to...

"If I had to choose between beating four defenders and belting in a 30-yard goal against Liverpool at Anfield, or shagging Miss World, it's a difficult choice.

Fortunately, I've done both," said the late Manchester United legend George Best.

Ranger in a Virginia park, WOW!

I just got a mail from Juicy Fruit. He is a park ranger in Virginia, one of the things I'd really like to do on my next life. So, the link to his blog (click on his name) it's a tribute to a dream, not just to a person.

Here is where I live...

Le Marche, beautiful place
No words, just look and feel... and now click here to see it bigger...

I would like to thank Janet Walker for this great picture, and, moreover, for the beautiful weekend we all spent last October. It's been one of the greatest and funniest weekend ever!

The light is born again, an unusual way to say wishes...

I spent my last months (not only) thinking about the darkness, while waking up at 6 in the morning, the sun rising at 7.15 here, 44 parallel. And I thought how it could have been centuries ago, when the sunlight was the only light available... and then I realized how precious was that light, that light which gives the real meaning to the Christmas.

Yes, it's the day of the light, when the light, the Redeemer, win against the darkness. And a new year begin. The Christians give this moment a religious meaning, but they (should, at least) know that this is the Sun which comes into life again. And the summer, so far away now, is something we'll have to deserve, something we are waiting for the rest of the year.

I think that this way to enjoy Christmas enforce the natural feeling to be part of the Earth, while enforce also the idea that the symbols we use to represent Christ are nothing but symbols, mirrors of the truth, of the Spirit of Christmas.

So, now that the new year of light has began, I wish you the light inside you will show you the way, and I wish you will feel more and more part of the Earth, of the nature, of the humanity.

Enjoy this birth, enjoy this 2006.
